PRAVDA (2019)

Pravda means justice, truth: this icon of justice and truth wears the typical Serbian military headdress, the Šajkača. Her tears could be life-giving, like those under the eyes of the Vinča sculptures, made by prehistoric people that were living in the Balkan area, but the tears of Pravda seem to purge a heavy make-up, perhaps applied to modify her expression.

This Pravda is dedicated to the Bosnian “Pravda za Davida” movement.
